THE BRIDE OF CHRIST PENTECOSTAL CHURCH – CHURCH NEWS – Received 1st June 2017

THE BRIDE OF CHRIST PENTECOSTAL CHURCH – Blantyre, Malawi

CHURCH NEWS – Received 1st June 2017

The Church in Malawi is progressing in its activities, reaching out with the gospel of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ for the lost souls.

On 30th April, 2017, after our Easter Camp Meeting we visited Undi Church and we were overwhelmed by the growth of the church membership. This is an indication that the church is reaching out for the lost and they are joining the church.

On 13th May 2017, our women gathered together at Chilomoni Township Church for their annual Conference. It was wonderful and blessed Conference. The teaching was powerful and character building.

On 21st April 2017, God spoke to us to form intercession group to intercede for the lost, God’s Ministers, the oppressed, the persecuted Christians, the work of the church, etc. Every Friday we do not sleep, it is a day of fasting and praying, 24 hours (day and night). Our main scripture is Isaiah 58:6.Please Send us your prayer requests.

This is our new church land at Zalewa, Mandiwa Village and this is our Church shelter we built for our Easter Camp Meeting. The Church now is looking for finances to build a better structure for the congregation. Please assist with whatever you may have for this project.

God bless you.
Your son in the Faith,
Pastor T.J Mapira

THE BRIDE OF CHRIST CHURCH – MINISTRY OVERVIEW 2014

1n 2014, a deep, burning Christlike compassion compelled us to sacrifice all that was necessary for the salvation of others. When you survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died! No price will seem too high to pay; no sacrifice too great to make; and no problem too big to encounter for the salvation of the lost.

God has been our strength through out. He enabled us to preach the end time prophetic messages that moved the hearts of people to seek God afresh.

MY PROFOUND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I am also here to acknowledge and greatly appreciate the great work you did and are doing for the Lord and us. I admire your commitment and sincere love you have for us. I do pray for you day and night. You are an inspiration to this ministry and church. God bless you and I do trust that the Lord will continue to touch your life and ministry as you are encouraged by the news of our ministry we send you every month. May you be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do a great and mighty work for Him.

GOSPEL OUTREACH 2014

Our gospel outreach campaigns in 2014 have been marked with miracles of salvation, healing and deliverance. Hundreds of people coming to the Lord, being healed and delivered from powers of darkness. The photo below shows one of many campaigns we had.

SAD ENDING – DEADLY FLOODS IN MALAWI

The year 2014 has ended up with a sad story for Malawians as a whole.
We are experiencing deadly flooding in Malawi. The church I posed with in the photo below has been washed away by the floods. The area is flooded some people have lost their lives.
Those that survived lost all their properties. It is very sad indeed and unspeakable. Our churches in the lower Shire are affected. When all is over its when we will be tracing our surviving church members. Pray for us. We are in a confused state of mind because of the loss or our beloved ones.

SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2014 MINISTRY REPORT

Dear friends,

Greetings in the wonderful Name of Jesus Christ from Kampala, Uganda.
A lot has been happening during this period, including the death of my Auntie Kose. With our Crusade Team we travelled to Nakasongola, in the Eastern part of Uganda, to conduct a Crusade there. We had a great and blessed time! Fifteen people came to the Lord; God healed two people – one from a hernia and the other from body pains.
Most of our activity during this time has been working hard on the construction of our School Building Project. As you can see from the photo it has been going well. I want to thank you for your Prayer Support. We are praying and asking the Lord to provide the resources for us to be able to and fit the doors, windows, plastering and the other needs to complete the building.

Blessings and love,
Pastor Ben

SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2014 MINISTRY REPORT

SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2014 MINISTRY REPORT

Our Gospel Elders are here once again to share with you what God is leading them to do for His Kingdom. On 5th September 2014, God led us to Ling’awa village in Chikwawa district,

In southern Malawi, where we preached to a crowd of people. Many people raised up their hands to receive Jesus Christ and I prayed with them. Six people out of many that received Jesus Christ have joined our Church there. We also prayed for a very sick child and within an hour the child recovered, he became completely healed. From 17th October to 19th October 2014 we visited the area once again as a follow-up visitation. While we were there we visited two more villages, preaching the gospel and distributing gospel tracts. The first village we visited was Chalemera village, Tribal Area (T/A) Ndakwera. We harvested 31 people for Christ, this was on 17th October, 2014. The second village was Chimbidzi village, on 18th October 2014; we harvested 36 people for the lord. See the photo below:

Chalemera village

Chalemera village

On 18th October 2014 early in the morning we went to the mountain for prayers, a journey of one hour and thirty minutes, we went to pray for these villages, after our research of the area we found out that this area is the darkest part of the district, even witchdoctors are afraid of visiting this area for very wicked people live there. This is the mountain where we conducted our prayers- photo below:

Below is the photo of the shelter we were spending the night we were visited by the snake 18th October evening time, fortunately we killed . It is not easy to sleep at a place like this. We praise God for His protection. Next month we are visiting another area. Please keep on praying for us and supporting us in any way God leads you to.

Philip in Myanmar 2014

PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF C.B PHILIP THANG

I am C.B Philip Thang (Philip Vung Ling Thang) I was born on 13th February 1961 in Falam, Chin State, Myanmar and brought up from a Christian family. We are ten members in our family. I have three sisters and five brothers. I am the second eldest son in our family. My parents are still living in our native place (Daddy 83 years & Mum 73 years). My brothers and sisters have their own business and are occupied with the vocational work. I appreciate my parents for having a regular family worship service in our childhood and led us to the right way. They used to send us to attend Sunday school classes from K.G. Class to Intermediate classes. We enjoyed songs, writing competitions, team work, sport, excursion and some other activities in the Church. I began to go to primary school at the age of six years old. My goal was to become one of the great army officers, a leader of nation in the future.

My conversion

I did not know the reality of God or conversion though I was brought up from a Christian family. In October, 1975 I happened to attend crusade in our local Church where he taught us about the origin of sin, the cause of sin, and salvation. In this crusade that I came to know the necessity of the Saviour. The Bible says, “Men cannot be saved by his effort and good work but by grace. “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” Rome 6:23. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” Eph. 2:8.

In that crusade, the speaker preached how the Lord Jesus Christ loved the people, suffered, died for us and resurrected from the dead. Here that I confessed all my sins and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and Lord. From here, I got conversion and became a new person in Christ. Here on wards I experience the peace with God, and I started to love the Word of God very much and began to read the Bible. I started to share Gospel of salvation to my class mates in the school. I felt like some one pushing me to step out for preaching and witness for Christ. “Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood an holy nation, a peculiar people” 1 Peter 2:9. My aim was totally changed after Christ lived in me and became a pastor to take care of the believers which I never dreamed before. Now I have a strong desire to serve the Lord as He has called me to become a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ” The Lord said My thought is not like yours and my ways are different from yours” Isaiah 55:8. ” Thou therefore, endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ” II Tim 2:3.

MY JOURNEY TO MEET THE LORD IN 1985

I was born into a Roman Catholic Christian family. I was a carefree Christian. My goal in Life was to satisfy my life’s desires. I did not care whether that meant breaking the Christian rules that governed our family. In other words I did not know God. After graduating from Teachers Training College in 1982 I was sent to teach at Malawi College of Distance Eduction Centre in Blantyre city. At that time I was residing in Ndirande suburb, a township of everything that satisfies the desires of every walk of life. It is where I became one of the town drunkards. In 1984 I moved to another town called Chemusa township where my life became even worse than before to the extent that my wife left me and went home.

She came back when I moved to another town called Chilomoni township where I encountered with my Lord Jesus Christ. The first to meet with the saviour was my wife Merenia at one of the open air gospel meetings organised by ‘The Miracle Power of God Fellowship.’ A Fellowship that was born after Evangelist Reinhard Bonke had preached in Malawi. After her conversion she was trying to persuade me to follow in her footsteps. At first I was not interested with her conversion stories, praying, miracles happening, people praying in tongues and etc. To me, as a Catholic Christian, that was all taboo. I was against whatever people would tell me about other church beliefs, more especially the so called ‘Born-agains’.

God is wonderful, a month after my wife’s conversion and of my struggling with her new religion stories that she brought into the house, something strange happened to me. I know maybe it was because I hardened my heart to oppose those strange prayers in the house. I suddenly became seriously ill for a period of two weeks, the doctors at the hospital failed to diagnose the disease and were unable to give me the medicine. One night when I was totally helpless with this sickness I suddenly found out that the whole sickness, all the pains I was feeling disappeared completely by itself. I was completely healed .This healing was for both my body and spirit, the appetite, lust for other women was no more in me. But instead I felt a strong desire to surrender my life to Jesus and I was forced from inside to follow my wife to meet those fellowship people and see if I can get any help from them?

I did not know these people personally but they knew me through my wife. My wife took me there and to my surprise I was taken to a secluded place where I was exposed to people called counsellors, they preached to me, gave me more scripture verses and led me to repentance and a prayer of confession. They laid their hands on me and prayed for me. From there they told me to testify to all my friends that I am born again. I have done away with of all my sins. I went preaching this to all my friends, my fellow teachers at work, my relatives, and to all the women I used to go about with. I found real peace in my heart.

Later I was taken to pastor H. Roben Chakholoma of the United Apostolic Faith Church who baptized me and prayed for me to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. From that time I started attending their bible studies regularly at their church and later on I joined the church. I did away with the Catholic Church and became a happy man with a happy family. Jesus is my redeemer!

PHOTOS FROM BENJAMIN SAM TABINGWA

TESTIMONY OF BENJAMIN SAM TABINGWA

31ST March 2008

Ben-n-Grace-2013.jpgThis is my testimony. I was Born-Again in 1994, on the 13th April. I had been drinking a lot on that day and a ‘Voice’ told me to get Saved. I fought that voice for a long time and I later yielded in the afternoon of that very day, glory to God.

My father had a background of being a Catholic, but actually he also belonged to a witch sect that believed in worshiping the Spirits of the Ancestors. After hearing that I had accepted Jesus in my life, he called for a family meeting at which he said if I don’t renounce the white people’s God, I will no more be his son. I narrated to all of the family of my experience with this man Jesus, how he had healed me of Yellow Fever. All of them knew I had this sickness as it was disturbing me a lot.

I boldly told my dad that he is my father, but Christ was both my Lord and saviour and I told him that I can’t renounce Jesus. This brought about a great chaos in the meeting as he wanted to beat me, but one man who was there told me that when I was speaking these words, he said my face to him was shining like an Angel and it wasn’t me who spoke, this encouraged me. My Dad asked me never to come to him for any assistance again.  Because I had nowhere to eat from, I continued sneaking to his house. My Dad had four wives and each of them had her own house, so Mama could smuggle food for me into her house to eat. One day when she had smuggled food for me and I had actually finished eating and was getting on my way, my Dad met me and again wanted to beat me. I ran and sneaked away and looked for a way out of him fulfilling what he promised, that he would kill me. God made a way for me to run.

Most of my Dad’s property was in my name, being the eldest son and he changed everything.  But, I wasn’t interested in anything as Jesus had become King over my heart and all things looked to have no value compared to Him. My Dad cursed me and did all sorts of things to stop my future in God. He failed in all his schemes, glory to Jesus, who turns curses into blessings. Because of this, I eventually found myself in the hands of a pastor, who welcomed me with open hands and started helping me spiritually and sometimes also meeting my physical needs. I thank God for him so much.2.-Bulopa-Crusade.JPG

I started desiring ministry after seeing many preachers get people saved. I remembered my first day in God when the preacher said God can use you even me, as He is now using me. One day, when I went to visit a pastor on a Sunday Service I found the Church was open and there was a lady there who was possessed by demons. I laid my hands on her and the devils started manifesting. This brought much confirmation to me that God can use me.  One of the miracles that encouraged me to press in for Jesus more is, I had a preaching engagement in a far place. We actually had to walk for over 250 miles to preach and the pulpit was an ant-hill. My shoes where worn out so I asked my youngest brother to give me his shoes. They were very small so I closed my eyes and prayed for the shoes and the put in my feet and they fitted me so well. I praised Jesus because I knew God was powerful and could take care of all my needs.

I came to Kampala shortly after my conversion to seek for a job. I did get one and I was working as a machine operator in an audio cassette firm in the assembling section. After one year the Lord spoke to me to join a certain man of God in ministry. I asked him many questions, including how am I going to be getting my needs met? He told me God would provide. Preaching then things were somehow different as we went through a tough time of lack.

What we could only afford was rotten grinded corn flour. There were maggots in there, but to us this was also a miracle. Thank God it didn’t affect us in any way, but we just enjoyed what God had placed before us. This went on for a long time, then came my promotion as the evangelist of the Church. After one year again I was promoted to assistant pastor. I worked for this ministry for 4 years and then the Lord told me to start Africa Revival Ministries to reach Africa for Jesus.

I did this for one year as the doors were opening all over as many pastors were joining with my evangelistic and revival crusades and conferences. God was healing the people and setting the captives free. As this was going on, the Lord spoke to me in 2004 to open up a Church in West Kampala in Busega to be my base. I did it by faith. He told me to look for a house and put the structure in the compound. The owner of the land wanted much money, which I had never even had in my life. But, God touched a lady whom we ministered to. She had an issue of blood healed and she gave me exactly the money we needed.

Then on the 13th January 2004 I began with just five people inside the house before putting the structure in the compound. God started bringing people in. The devil wasn’t happy because at that time many churches were failing because of the much witchcraft.  The Churches had failed to penetrate the stronghold in the community, so we started praying and fasting and also trusting for His Grace.

The witch doctors started to come in the Church structure and place their powers in the Church. I announced and said that Jesus can never be bewitched and warned the people responsible to be ready to receive God’s judgement if they didn’t change and stop fighting God. They didn’t stop. One man who was a great witch and a Muslim brought the witch things again into the Church. He died the following day! Fear gripped them all. But, what happened here is his wife got saved and his two daughters. Hallelujah!

People started coming to the Church and we started to grow numbers. God told me to buy some plastic chairs and each time we brought in new chairs, many new people would come to the Church, some visiting and some joining. By His Grace we have grown from five to over 250 members.

We Love Jesus so much.  I am happily married to Grace, we have 3 children and one unborn and we also have an adopted daughter.

God richly bless you.
